Insurance for my 4 door is $50 a month. I have kids so 4 doors are way better. Car gets 35 mpg as opposed to 15 in my truck. The black escort was on par with my truck for speed. The blue car is in perfect shape front to back, just was slow as ***** and boring to drive. Total cost of this project including the price of both cars is $300

One time I went to the track there was a purple Escort GT there running 12's. It had a Mazda 323 turbo motor with a big turbo.
Surprised the hell out of me.

that is the gtr motor it is jdm. Basically the same motor except with forged rods and pistons and turboed from the factory. The N/A version is insanely tough as well. It will hold 300whp for a very long time.

After I get this car running I plan on pulling the entire rear subframe (with rear discs), strut bar, 2.25" exhaust and front lower control arms from an mx3 v6 I have laying around. With the mx3 suspension it will make it a lot more rigid, the mx3 suspension will make it 1 inch wider. It would still run in "stock class" because it will all be stock parts.

Ha! I know what you mean. Not just nuts & bolts. -I caught my DPFE walking around on the bench on one occasion. Grew a set of legs as well, -

Heh - those metal DPFE's are getting rare - maybe that's the reason, they all walked away!

I know it, -that was a Motorcraft part I got from TOMCO (on-line). TOMCO doesn't have them anymore.
