You just need to improve the flavor by adding about 40% Baileys to your cup. Now thats good coffee. Of course drinking it that way at work is not a good idea.

My brother makes the ONLY coffee I can drink. He doesn't use a coffee pot, he uses a 2 qt pot over an open fire. He boils the water, puts a pinch of salt in and then pours the coffee in the pot until it boils. He places a stick across the pot and when the water boils up, the stick knocks it down. On the third rise, the coffee is ready. He uses Folgers and his does not taste anything like Folgers from a coffee pot. I guess you could say he makes camp coffee but that's the way he makes it everyday on the ranch. But then again, he doesn't go to the grocery for much of anything. He says the pasture is full of food, why buy it.

That's a little more than I care to go through at 5AM.

I'm much happier pressing the ON switch.

I use a Bunn coffee maker ONLY to start with. Then I usually switch back and forth from Folgers classic roast and Maxwell house org. I like a med-light roast blend. I drink about a pot a day, so dark roast is just too much for me.

Is fresh ground beens that much better?

I get the Kona blend out of the Churchill bins at the grocery store. I get my decaf beans at the local organic food store, its made by Dazbog. The beans smell awful - like burning tires - but the coffee tastes great, you can't tell it's decaf by the taste.

I have tried the bins around here, but the Eight O'clock beats them. Have even ordered online, but 'til you pay their price and shipping, it is not worth it.

Not really a fan of 8 o'clock - I've tried both the regular and decaf. However, it's a hell of a lot better than Folgers and Maxwell House.........

Fresh ground beans for every pot. Usually a Starbucks Bold flavor or Dunkin Dark.

I only drink Iced.. get it a few times a week. Dunkin Donuts Mocha cream no sugar. Mary Lous is amazing for a treat... best I think i've had. Honey Dew makes an Iced Mocha Madness which I like and Starbuck's I get periodically when I work at Target on the weekends at 5am. Don't drink it much, but I can only drink it iced. I hate hot drinks.
