Judge Joe Brown rules with us!

While at the gym today working out I looked up at the TV! I was reading the closed captioning since I could not hear the sound, & saw a guy pleading his case to Judge Joe Brown that he took his truck to a independant Mechanic who charged him, I believe $2600.00 to change out the plugs that the mechanic broke in the heads! I'm assuming it was a 5.4 3v since a picture of the broken plugs looked the same & charged to remove the heads on the engine. I believe judge Joe Brown ruled in favor of the plantiff for $1900.00 & said that $2600.00 for a plug change was insane! Did anybody see this episode today to verify this?.........

Any mechanic who is not familiar with the Lisle or Rotunda tool has no business changing 3V plugs.

Depends on her mood. You can be 100% right and end up screwed if you're in front of Judge Judy!

I'm sure he was very familiar with the tools and with the plugs breaking in these engines. He just assumed the owner was a D.A. and attempted to screw him over. I've met many mechanics that seem to think that if someone brings a vehicle to them, that the owners don't know anything about what could possibly be wrong. So they make up reasons for an incredible bill.
