91B here. There's a couple of the 900 series wreckers in the motor pool next to mine. I miss those but the HEMTT is a better wrecker I think. We're supposed to be sinking a Caiman tomorrow for recovery training I'll get some pictures.
*my01screw-mean to me ahha, no tthey prob dont wanna be called grunts anyways, and yea i agree last deployment i was mech and we brought our brads and took them out once or twice then they just sat on a fob with bde hq and took up space.

So they opted to get a truck stuck that doesn't really go outside the wire often that way if it got broken it wouldn't be so time critical to get it fixed. Plus, if you can pull something out that was 40,000 lbs, whats another 10-20 thousand pounds right? This was pulled out with at 10 ton wrecker.

The truck in the background is what they were originally planning on getting stuck.

While the recovery team was playing in the mud my guys were changing an engine in an up armored HMMWV, this picture was after I caught that they forgot to put the motor mounts on before setting it down all the way. 6.5 turbo charged diesel, easier than the CAT C7 I think.
