4x4

Alright so i have had my 2001 supercrew for about 2 mos but im not sure if my 4x4 is engaging. My question is if the 4x4 symbol comes on does that mean its engaged. Cuz the manual says that if something is wrong the symbol will blink.... is that true

I can't really answer your question. In my truck when I put it into 4W Hi, nothing much seems to happen except the light goes on. But, if I turn the truck sharply (I'm on dirt of course) I can feel the typical skidding/wheel conflicts that you get when all 4 wheels are trying to move the truck at once and the turn radius for each is different.

Yep as said simply turn the wheel sharp to the left or right and move the truck ahead you will feel the truck bind a bit and you will know or find a dirt road and lock it in and hit the gas and see what wheels spin... wet grass works well also...

It could be anything and could cost you anything from nothing to $1000+. Have you even looked underneath yet to see if it even has a front driveshaft hooked up?
