If your out drifting your BMW and smack into a wall, are you going to expect them to pay for it?
And I was drinking when I made that video. For this one...

I see how guys "use and abuse" regular trucks when they take them off-road -- I can't imagine what they do to Raptors under the presumption that they're "real" off-road vehicles.....

"Hold my beer, Hey y'all watch this!!" would be the full quote.
I believe the Raptor to be a more capable off roader than a box stock F150. But to consider it a race ready, handle anything you throw at it, or it over something else, off roader you would have to be absolutely nuts. It doesn't even have a roll cage! It boggles me to think that people spending 50k on a truck buys invincibility. As people have said before, the commercials showcase the ability of the truck with properly well trained drivers who have probably driven the course a time or two prior to filming and its the same DRIVER that is the biggest part of the truck's ability. But to have some DA complain about his truck being screwed up because he's a proper idiot and expecting Ford to fix it is downright insane. Not to mention the fact that 10 out of 10 Raptors that were damaged, the owners had modified the suspension with aftermarket springs. Instant warranty denial. I don't think Ford ever claimed the Raptor to handle everything. It would have been very irresponsible of Ford to do so. Did they build a capable off roader? Yes. Did they build a purpose built, dedicated, off road race rig? Definatly not. just my .02
I see both sides, yes the kicker that he hit was probably a little too rough on the truck. But I don't think it should have bent the frame. The moderator of the Raptor forum has just a slight bend but there appears to be a couple of others that had a significant bend from the same kicker.
The frame should be the strongest part of the truck. I would hope that shocks, springs and other components would break first. I think it's clearly a design flaw having a large cutout in the frame at the bump stop location which is causing a weak spot in the frame. It works fine for most owners but to those that push it a little too much gets a bent frame.

Not a design flaw. It's an owner/ driver flaw. The truck performed fine until the driver made a bad decision.

The Raptor may be more capable than the F-150 off-road, but it still uses the same frame as the regular F-150. It may have better shocks and stiffer springs, but it's a far cry from a Baja truck in stock trim.

There isnt enough money in the world to pay me to do that
