Tipping a waiter
As for me, it would be totally unreasonable for me to walk around with my entire life savings in my pocket.
Yes Karma... spit in food, get hit by bus, it all works out in the end!
fatherford, do you have kids because no matter how much a i have, it goes quick. i have a business that i run a lot thru and i get airline miles on my credit card that we use often
hey i know you have a viper, i looked at an 06 and getting in and out is a chore, of coarse i am 5'10, 250. havent driven it yet but i would guess it takes some getting used to.

Crime rate is up again this year, 35% and its been increasing every year. Break ins and robbery's are more and more common.
So, no thanks Ill carry less than $20 and use my bank card.
Every time they shut down a "pain clinic" we get a rush of robbery's and break ins.
Part of the reason I got a ruger and will be attending the CCW class this weekend.
i was explaining why i dont tip in cash.
so if you and the wife take the kids to eat, it is 10 people, and you give a $9.00 tip or $.90 per person? if it is just 9 of you then the tip goes up to $1.00 per person. that just seems to low to me for all the work involved.
After bringing all 8 of my kids I get out with about $45.00 in food. So 20% tip is cheap for all the work the wait staff had to exert.

seems fair to me.
I absolutely hate carrying and keeping change. I only carry cash when I know what I'm going to spend and/or there's no change involved. Keeping the change in the bank rather than in my pocket, or at home, or lost in-between the couch, etc. has saved me quite a bit of money

My wife works that hard everyday and she doesn't even get a tip.

I'm 6'5 and 300lbs and get in and out of my viper like any other sports cars.... The viper gets compared to other cars, when in reality it's in a class all in it's own. I suggest if you are complaing about getting in and out of the viper, then it's not the car for you.
So basicly what I get is most people don't carry cash because they are afraid they will spend it?
I use my credit card for most purchases...but some people will be suprised what cash can buy in "crunch" situations. I've got many of good deals that I can turn around and resale the next day for twice the money because of cash.
BTW...when the power goes out for weeks in an entire area, or credit card machines aren't working.. Cash is king.
