Glad to hear she's doing so well, King. So awesome that advice from a member on here (Labnerd) basically turned her around 180 for the better. Good stuff.

Usually a dog scratching is from their food. Look on the bag of food you're giving the dog at the ingredients. If corn is the first thing listed- there's yer problem. The main/major ingredient is listed first and a lot of dogs can't handle that much corn and they are allergic. Lamb is a much better first ingredient.
If this works out for you.....I'm gonna have to start chargin' for services rendered.

Well its been a bad day today.. I got up this morning and didnt see my dog anywhere.. went to her bed and she was just laying there, looking real sad, I rubbed her a little bit and still just layed there.. Tried getting her up and she couldnt get up, didnt want to eat..
Took her to the vet and we decided it was best to put her to sleep. Its crazy how attached we get to these animals.. I lost my best friend today

Oh no, Coy! I'm terribly, terribly sorry to hear this. I followed this thread for a while...cheering your big gal on...and when I saw she was doing much better, it was such a relief.

I've lost lots of pets through the years, and it's heartbreaking every time. My heart goes out to you and your family, Coy. Try to take comfort in the the thought that your big gal will never feel another second of pain.

Again, I'm terribly sorry. Well wishes to you and yours.

I am very sorry for your loss. I know it hurts bad. I have been down that road way too many times. Just know that you did your best for her, gave her a good life and home, and that in the end you helped her one last time, in the only way you could have.

Sorry to hear about your loss coy, its hard to loose a good dog and best friend. I lost my lab about 3 months ago and it was very hard. She slowly started throwing up her food, and over about a month she got to the point to where she was throwing up about 1 time a day. We thought she just had a virus because she had done it before, but then she started loosing weight quickly. My mom finally decided to take her to the vet, and we found out that she had cancer totally blocking her digestive system and that she wouldn't make it, so we put her down. Its hard to believe how attached we can get to dogs.
