You don't know what your talking about.

The one fact that you seem to ignore is the growing sea of independent, or unaffiliated voters.

"Interesting" opining though.

I think there are more people out there that call themselves Independents than there really are. It seems to be more fair if you will. They like to think of themselves as independent thinkers that vote for people based on their platform rather than their party. In the end, I think a greater percentage pair off along party lines for the most part.

If anything, I think younger voters may be easier to sway one way or another but still I think their parents and upbringing influence political decisions for the most part.

I have no idea what anyone has said in this thread, other than about Sara.
I think I only voted one time, long ago back in 2004 or something.

It is much easier, and far less stressful to not pay attention to what's going on. I often times wish I could be that way again. The problem is, when the proverbial sh*t hits the fan, not having any idea is not a good thing.

In reality, there aren't that many people in this country paying all that much attention. I don't think there ever has been. It would be helpful if more of us were prepared for when the sh*t does hit the fan though.

So how do the republicans feel about the poll showing Romney winning against Obama?

Not exactly what the poll numbers show :

n a general-election trial heat in the latest ABC News/Washington Post poll he runs evenly with Barack Obama among all Americans, and numerically outpoints him, 49-46 percent, among registered voters -- not a statistically significant lead, given sampling error, but a clear reflection of Obama's vulnerability to a well-positioned challenger.
The margin of error is +/-3.5%, which is what the other articles on the same topic call them neck and neck ( not winning ).

This is the question that I think they got the results from ( there are several questions that are not included yet, so the 5-JUN poll has more info to follow )

43. If the 2012 presidential election were being held today and the candidates were (Barack Obama, the Democrat) and (ITEM, the Republican), for whom would you vote? Would you lean toward (Obama) or toward (ITEM)? (ORDER SCRAMBLED)

This was question #43 in the list, so by then who knows how well people were paying attention.
