Romney wasn't paying attention
I think there are more people out there that call themselves Independents than there really are. It seems to be more fair if you will. They like to think of themselves as independent thinkers that vote for people based on their platform rather than their party. In the end, I think a greater percentage pair off along party lines for the most part.
If anything, I think younger voters may be easier to sway one way or another but still I think their parents and upbringing influence political decisions for the most part.
In reality, there aren't that many people in this country paying all that much attention. I don't think there ever has been. It would be helpful if more of us were prepared for when the sh*t does hit the fan though.
They shouldn't really think too much of it, it is still way too far away. alot can change between now and then....
n a general-election trial heat in the latest ABC News/Washington Post poll he runs evenly with Barack Obama among all Americans, and numerically outpoints him, 49-46 percent, among registered voters -- not a statistically significant lead, given sampling error, but a clear reflection of Obama's vulnerability to a well-positioned challenger.
This is the question that I think they got the results from ( there are several questions that are not included yet, so the 5-JUN poll has more info to follow )
43. If the 2012 presidential election were being held today and the candidates were (Barack Obama, the Democrat) and (ITEM, the Republican), for whom would you vote? Would you lean toward (Obama) or toward (ITEM)? (ORDER SCRAMBLED)
