The car chapel

My FIL built a new garage for his collection.
He has about a dozen. Pics in the album.

Sweet collection & building. I think I'd do doors on the long side for less shuffling. Especially like the fury and galaxie convert.

I too would have put the doors on the long side. As many double doors that would fit and park them two deep behind every door.

I am guessing he doesn't drive the ones in the middle ever.

I would love to have that in my backyard.

Very nice collection and "spousal avoidance unit".

I find it amazing that the daughter of a man with such good taste in vehicles would make such a choice in a husband. One of life's great mysteries!

I was a PFC and he was a SGM when we met. He was shining his boots with a big horsehair brush and said, "I've been using this same brush for twenty years."

I said, "So, I've been using the same can of polish for three years."

We've been married 34 years, it only took about 25 years to overcome a bad first impression.

Well, I hope you made it in the will. I wouldn't mind inheriting a few of those cars. Do they all run?

They are all mint.
His passion was restoring them one at a time.

Each of his seven kids has picked one and he put it in his will.

I guess subconsciously that one has never held much interest with me.
When I was a kid we had two '64 Galaxies at the same time.
My mother drove a black four door sedan and my dad had a blue convertible.
I was burned out on that model by the time I was 14.
