Lowered Trucks?
Wouldn't lifting a truck 6+" make it slightly less useful? I mean think about it, now if you want to put stuff in the bed you have to lift it upwards of an extra foot just to get to the tailgate over stock.
I'll admit that I'm not a fan of lowered trucks, but if they are done right I can respect the work that goes into them. A lot of the time when people lower a truck to the point that it isn't useful as a truck, they hadn't purchased it to be used as a truck in the first place.
Just the same, a truck with 18" of lift on 40's is a quite useless truck, but if done correctly they can looks awesome and have a lot of functionality.
Those speedbumps can get kinda hairy if you don't have 3 feet of ground clearance. Wouldn't want to bottom out on them.

If all you buy a vehicle for is transportation of people and cargo, then there are a lot of vehicles out there that would seem useless to you. I mean, seriously... Unless you spend every spare moment on a track, what's the use of a Ferrari? In fact, what's the point of a nice paint job? It doesn't have to look nice to protect the metal from the elements. Why do you need leather seats? Why throw money at making a 5,000 lbs. vehicle faster, when it will never be as fast as a 2,500 lbs. car with much less power? Why do people ask stupid questions? Some things just can't be explained. You either get it or you don't.

Not everyone buys a truck for towing or hauling and very few of those that do, need that functionality on a day to day basis. Trucks have infinitely more head room, shoulder room and leg room over almost any car on the road today. Not to mention you're a hell of a lot safer. How does lowering it affect those qualities?
Having had several lifted (not leveled) vehicles myself, I can assure you, the large majority of lifted trucks are never used for the ground clearance afforded them and all of those setups increase gas consumption and stopping distances by a significant margin, not to mention decreases payload and towing capacity. Those are pretty significant penalties for a vehicle that stays on pavement or the occasional dirt/gravel paths. No doubt it all has to do with the "look", which eludes my comprehension these days.
