WOW .... you caught one of the BIGGEST breaks I've ever heard of. Seriously. At 0.138 there is no way you should have walked from that - that is well beyond "officer discression". I won't cast stones because I'm far from perfect but what I will say is I hope you truly learned from that experience and hold tough to your pledge never to drink and drive again. I'd buy a few lotto tickets if I was you.

I know. When the 2 cops were deciding what to do, I thought my life was over. A DUI completely ruins your life. Ill say it again, I WILL NEVER DRIVE AFTER HAVING MORE THAN 1 BEER. If I do, eff it, Ill call a cab. My truck just screams pull me over, and I know I wont get that lucky EVER AGAIN. Ive been sitting home all day still in shock mode. My sister said my grandma was looking down me.

I've been there too. I had more than a drinking problem about 4 years. i quit driving even after a couple beers. I had my wake up call when I woke up one morning and all I could remember was pulling over to puke on the side of the road. My lesson was definitely learned that morning. haven't done it since. Hopefully you truly learned your lesson as well.

Count your blessings. I lost an uncle to a drunk driver 15 years ago. He had three prior dui's and was driving with no license. Killed my uncle and really seriously injuried my cousin. The guy was sentenced and served time and got out 4 years ago. Point being, hope lesson learned. We all make mistakes, just have to make sure we remember what we learned.
