Perhaps if you used a reliable source such as Fox, then we could give you some credibility.

At least Fox is honest and always tells the truth.
Sorry Frank I'll make sure I use reliable sources next time.

I get so tired of reading all this crap. Habs, I swear, every thread you start has the exact same posts, maybe just a slightly different order. What I am considering with any new one you start, copy the link to this thread as a first post and then close it. No one would know the difference. I would think you would be tired of it by now.

I agree, and all those who disagree are already on ignore.

The Christian bashing threads are pretty much on a weekly schedule. Never really here anything about the Quran or any other books of all the other different religions, but that would mean they were against all religion, which might be the case, but perception is reality, only the Bible and Christians seem to get the "treatment" here.

I won't mention any names, but the exact same can be said for at least a dozen other members here and the anti-Obama threads they post regularly. This is the General Discussion forum, where the members here are supposed to be able to go to start and reply to threads that don't fit in the other forums, so it would seem that this is the right place for everyone, including myself and the dozen or so of the anti-Obama regulars, to start threads on subjects that they want to, that don't fit elsewhere. The regulars here that might feel the same way you do about my threads know what to expect, and can simply avoid them if it's a subject that they feel might offend their viewpoints; no one is forcing anyone to read anything.

Jim, I understand that you have very strong and solid views on the subject of religion, and I respect that, but so do I. As it turns out, they aren't the same, but we both seem to feel equally as strong about our respective views. How about we just respect each other's right to express our own opinions?

Right, about the only thing you know best.

According the the verses I presented, I don't think the Bible teaches men are greater than women but history tells us that said verses has and continue to be used by our male dominated society as a tool to control women.

I am not an educator and never have I claimed to be one, so by no means was I lecturing you or any one but pointing out the obvious.

I can bet on my life that YOU, actually know a lot less than many atheists and agnostics do about the Bible, Christianity, and church history - but still call yourself a Christian.

I urge you to challenge me if you truly think I know little or nothing about your Bible, but no links allowed of people who claim to be historians. Lemme hear it, in your own words and without the personal attacks.

If I were in any way being careless in promoting hatred against your believe system by all means please bring those posts to my attention. It could be you may have misinterpreted my post or I may not have gotten my point accross due my Engwish. But on the contrary it is not my intention to promote hate against any faith, dat no my yob, that is your job.

Right, so before YOU start personally attacking me, please, show me where I attacked you and your faith.
Where can you exactly specify those verses have been used by males to dominate females that you listed previously?

How is it my job to promote hate against faiths? Should I go back through your post history and compare it to mine on how much religion has been brought up. You bring this subject up all the time.

The way you are attacking the christian faith is taking a select few Bible verses from the Bible, out of context, and applying it to all believers. Conveying the message that men who follow by the Bible are dominant over women. You stated that we legitimize sexism in your first post.

It's not worth me arguing with you over this. You haven't been objective in your analysis of God in the past and you sure aren't now. You all the sudden call for no name calling when your first post just called out every believer.

Maybe it's because we don't have any Quran/Other thumpers here!

You miss the point entirely Habs. Your threads and posts almost always turn into insults of the Christian religion, and it gets personal. Yet you direct your hatred/vitriol toward only one religion. If you try to say otherwise, what can I say, you are just blinded. I've never read the forum rules entirely, but most have rules against degrading/insulting ones religion ad hominem.

You even classify political discussions as on the same level as attacking someone's religion. Let's be clear, Obama is the POTUS and there is ABSOLUTLEY nothing wrong with debating his politics. I seem to remember, not too many years ago, when Bush jr. was president and reading repeated 'personal' attacks on him and no one complained. Pot/kettle as they say.

IF you would spend as much time actually reading opposing points of view, you might see things differently. Then again, maybe that's what you are afraid of.

i promise there are a bunch of people like me (christian) that start to reply and then hit delete, same old stuff different day.

simple question, do you think your early (up til 18) upbringing plays a role in your religious believes? i do

second question, who has kids? if you are an atheist do you instill those values on your 7 or 8 year old?
If you dont have kids, is because you can't, or you just made a choice not to have them (which i totally respect)
i tend to find that a lot of couples that dont have kids are atheist or just not interested in church.

to personal? but religion and abortion aren't?

rather than start the same rant each time wouldnt to be cool to understand why some of us believe and other don't. i don't beleive it is intellegence or education, i know way to many smart people to crush that one.

Buckdropper, your posts are a prime example of what I'm talking about. Offensive.

Not to mention, vulgarity in the title. Truly classy.
