You ever going to post about Islam and all the delusional Islamists Habs? Or the Jews? Or the Wiccans? You only seem to have disdain for one religion judging by all the threads you've made about it. Where is this "disdain" that you have for other religions? Or is Christianity the only "fake" one?
You've got no debate Frank, no case, no arguement. Until such a time as you can prove your case, you've got nothing.
Remember, your beliefs are not facts, don't get confused.
I trust the credentials of Ehrman a lot more than yours, and what exactly are your credentials again?
Oh that's right, you don't have any.
Ok, thanks for playing.

IF you do read the article, pay special attention to the section entitled, "Gross Factual Errors".
In the end, Mr Ehrman has no faith. And the Bible is clear, without it, it is impossible to please God.
Sorry OG, not going to gown that road with you again. You have your views, and I have mine. Let's just leave it at that, OK ?

But if you mean to imply that The VERY FIRST AMENDMENT in the constitution based on the Separation of church and state should be abolished, then yeah you will be persecuted and hunt down; even the founding fathers would probably wake up from their graves and come after you.
No one stops you from practicing your religious beliefs as long as you don't try to forcefully shove it down other's trouts. The paramount reason why the fore-fathers came to this country was for religious freedom. They listed it as their top goal in forming America. Fact is fact, most of the fore-fathers weren’t even Christian, but deist, atheist and agnostic. I could site thousands of quotes from Washington, Franklin, Jefferson, Paine,........ which would **** on the lie that this United States of America is a country founded on Christianity. But I shouldn’t need to, considering the reading and understanding of the constitution is a 4th grade curriculum requirement anyway.

Ehrman is not rejecting the bible or disputing the authenticity of much of it, he is only disputing parts of it, but literalists like yourself cannot bear it; they cannot bear that even one single word of it might be called into question.
Had you read the link you might have realized it but as usual you just dismissed anything that doesn't coincide with 'your' view of the bible.
As far as your comment I quoted above where you refered to faith, here's something for you to think about, and this is just my personal opinion which is based on facts, so try not to get angry...
The bible is a book of lies which can't possibly be true as it is written.
It is full of impossible nonsense. Don't you ever wonder why faith is required?
All I wanted to do is question his knowledge about the Bible in order to gain access to verifiable "truths"; such as, could it be that your faith is what determines your belief and not your so called “factual” book?
If faith is required to know God and he considers himself a man of faith, then he can disprove what history tells us time and time again. That is that faith is equivalent to massive hysteria such as, Crusades, Burning Times, Inquisitions, Holy Wars, and the list goes on.......
All in all faith has proven to be an intellectual weakness, and a significant barrier to scientific and moral progress. With all of this in mind, how can his God possibly expect me to view faith as the greatest way to glorify him, let alone demand this of me?
Talking about being demanding, yes, I may sound a lil demanding at times but that's only because I tend to apply critical thinking in all areas of knowledge, which is the hallmark of the educated mind.
I b e l i e v e,....... that a skeptical attitude helps to free the mind from superstition, prejudice, false science AKA pseudoscience, quackery and error, clearing the a path for intellectual progress.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I can bet on my life that YOU, actually know a lot less than many atheists and agnostics do about the Bible, Christianity, and church history - but still call yourself a Christian. .........
BTW, my response ^^^^ is not my/an opinion.

You should be thrilled that people like Frank can explain to us who exactly God is, what he likes and dislikes, and what pleases him and makes him angry.
He has thoroughly demonstrated that he knows God deeply and intimately and knows what it takes to get in good with the big man. Don't be humble Frank, it's good to know that you have your finger on God's pulse.

It's common knowledge that CNN is a biased website which panders to the left, and besides, that video is a fake made with paid actors.
Perhaps if you used a reliable source such as Fox, then we could give you some credibility.
At least Fox is honest and always tells the truth.
