No Trump
i hate to break it to ya guys but i think the era of having a rich white haired white guy for president is gone. More minorities and immagrants (like most of us are) and the record number of younger people are turning out to vote. Like this newt gingrich. Does he honestly believe he will win the presidencey? Guy looks like boss hog! hahahaha

Alan West and Marco Rubio for 2012!

Trump sucks, Gingrich sucks, and so far, every Republican I have heard of sucks (for President), but if they find someone charismatic enough to beat Obama then it will be a no-brainer.
Don't forget, it doesn't matter who you vote for, this is not a democracy, it's a republic, so it doesn't matter the demographic. I remember "Rock The Vote" had record (then) numbers of young people voting for Clinton. Old rich white guys know what the hell they're doing.
I find it amusing that we have people chime in on threads like this who call themselves democrats, or liberals, to tell us which republicans they "like". Though less amusing is the liberal medias ability to actually choose the republican nominee, like they did with McCain. I suspect they will do the same this election. Our only hope is that there are more people paying attention to the blatant agenda of the main stream media. I guess we will see, though it appears that there is still a large segment of our population, and even some people from other countries, who continue to be duped by out current "messiah".

It all comes down to electability in the general election. Generally moderates do better in general elections and those that draw from the party base do better in primaries. Each party's main goal is to get someone that will fill both roles.
Look at Deleware's Senate election in 2010. The Republicans nominated that I'm not a Witch lady who was hard right wing and she beat a centrist Republican out. However, in the general election she was blown away.
The Democrats are going to roll Obama out unopposed and the Republicans will have to decide. Given the recent history of the party, I expect they will go with someone hard right that will likely lose out badly. Maybe we will get a third party like Perot tried to pull off...who knows? I am sure Obama would encourage a Libertarian to run as a strong 3rd party!
