Anyone see the torture test on Speed today?
This may have been a repeat..



6 cyl ford engine that was thoroughly beat to crap and took everything in stride..

This is all stock from the factory.

150K on the dyno after being cooled down to -20 and then run full throttle over and over for hours on end?
Then said engine was put in a F-150 and went to Oregon to take over duties from a log skidder...
Towed 5 to 9 thousand pound logs up a dirt road to the landing all day..

Then off to Holmstead raceway to pull a trailer with 2 of Richard Petty's cars on it for 24 hrs at full throttle...

Then the engine was pulled and put in a F-150 for the stock engine class at the Baja 1000 and won class by 7 HRS????

Than it was put back on the dyno and tested against the orig numbers and still was within the first test..

Then off to the auto show where they took it apart in front of everyone and showed the results...
