I was exagerating, we did have an hour and a half for lunche.

All kidding aside, it was one of those jobs where most days you really do FA, but then other days, you can earn your entire yearly salary in one shift.

These are the kinds of people that everyone hates. I agree they need to starve their lazy butts to death.

There are people out there denied help and they truly need it. It sounds like someone figured out the system and is working it to their benefit while hurting others.

The biggest problem is that the costs to out all of these cheaters is usually more than the benefits they get.

What's the worst thing we can do to them once they are caught? Put them in jail where we can all support them again?

Sadly there are no perfect solutions. Some would say get rid of all disability benefits but I hate to see those that need them starve because of a few bums.

 

I hate when non handicapper's park in designated handicap spaces.

There's been a few flat tires around my area since I bought my sword cane.

Why can't you make excuses for this family? It's done for hundreds of thousands of others doing the exact same thing.

I have no problems with kicking able bodied people off of disability. If they can work by all means they should be contributing to society instead of sucking off of the nipple of everyone else's labor.

Yes...I have a buddy that I've known most of my life and he is so far right wing that Rush and Beck seem like bleeding heart liberals. He would turn the clock back to about 1840 and not have any help for anyone. One of the sink or swim types. Talking politics with him is like banging your head off of a brick wall.

there is a group or actually an entire community of russian/ukranians not far from here that i am told are all on SSI. they cannot get SSDI due to never working here. the story is that they all claimed they were jewish and religously persecuted. funny thing there isnt a jewish temple in the town or any where close.

aa while back my wife took someone that was not capable of driving to the social security office and on her way out she ran into the father of a friend of my sons. happens to be an indian family. the father was there getting his mother applied for SSI. she had just moved here from india. never worked a day here in her life. my guess around 65 -70 years old. they brought her over to baby sit as both parents worked. my understand is that since there is no contribution history that the non citizen is given the max rate of ssi. supposedly this was all done under jimmy carter.

 

Have heard similar stories from reliable sources for decades.

Common scenario: Son from an affluent family here on H1 visa, making excellent money working for high tech company.

Brings his parents over to live in the McMansion.

As soon as their plane toches down, they apply for SSI $. Drive the Mercedes to the bank to deposit the checks.

Their response: Sure, we don't need the money, but you guys are giving it away to us just for asking, so why not take it?

 

the real shame is when someone actually needs the money because of an accident and absolutely cannot work the administration puts them thru the ringer. tons of paper work, doctors reports, interviews etc. and then they feel like they are taking charity even though thats the purpose of the system.

its gotta change. but then i think it is all part of the socialist agenda to bankrupt the country so it can be rebuilt to the needs of the progressives like george soros

Seriously no one is trying to destroy the country.

George Soros is insane and he is a media man. He may be able to make people think what he wants them to think, but it does not matter, he does not have a vote in the house or senate to make things like he wants them to be like!

 

Hate to stir the pot but I'd say about 75% of those people arrested are on disability, SS and have food service cards.....

yet they continue to break laws, do drugs and your tax money is paying for it.

 

Sorry to hear about your illness (mental) Serotta (well, actually not VERY sorry), maybe your buddy, OldBummer, will see you laying along side the road and take pity on you (after he checks your voting record and sees you voted for him) and have them cart you off and get you the help you need.... we can only hope!
