But any comedian you like writes their own jokes right?

Seriously, they all have writers. Either way it's still funny as heck.

This was my thought, has been this way for years, go back to Steve Allen or Dave Allen in the UK. Johnny Carson, David Letterman, Jay Leno, etc all have a staff of writers.
Any weekly show with comedians has a staff of writers to create that much material in the time allotted.

He might write his own stand up material, but that is a show tour that is basically the same material in every city.

His jokes are only half of his comedy. Have you not seen what he wears or his goofy style? Thats why people like him so much. If he looked like a regular guy he would not be as funny. He has an akward style and funny expressions. And each season is themed with a certain "fashion". Thats why he is so funny.
