The two we are looking at are used, an 09 and 10 and both are the non eco boost motors. I really liked the the one we test drove but I am scared of the mileage. We are looking at the Flex and the Subaru Foresters and so far the Forester is probably going to be the one we buy.

To dig an old thread up, we finally desided on a used 2010 Flex. So far we are in love with it, 24 mpg on the interstate with the cruise set at around 73 and getting around 20 mpg driving it locally. I say locally because we live in the country and its about 15 miles to town and pretty hilly here.
The room is also amazing in these thing, it fits our needs to a tee.

Enjoy......

I like them, but whenever I glance at the window sticker the next thing I remember is being prone on the dealer lot and seeing the salesman fanning air in my face......

Then I go over and look at the new Explorers and the same thing happens -- I'm convinced the reason Ford is doing so well right now is because they are selling Fords at Lincoln prices.....

It is the light blue and used. The new ones are crazy priced but after driving this one I may be able to spring for a new one when the time comes. Which I hope is quite a while from now.

I am not saying that they are not nice to drive or anything but it just looks like a shoe box on wheels, real ugly!!!

I like it I'm not in love with the looks. But we just had our second child and needed more room and this thing fits the bill to the tee. It's my wifes ride and we didn't want another 15 mpg or less full size. But everyone has thier own opinions, I would drive anything as long at it fits the bill. Her other choice was a goverment motor company ride and I was not wanting to by it.

We're getting about the same mileage Norm, which tickles me.
