When i got my 03 Kr in 08 i could get it financed up to 84 months. So went with 48 months for a 5 year old truck. Put down $3,000 dollars and payments were at 340 a month and its paid for! I dont think i will ever get rid of this truck

I put down $1,000 plus my trade in and my payments are $240 a month. I pay between $300-$320 though.

Purchased mine new in 98. Paying cash for it would have worked against me at the time, so I stretched it out for a couple years.

Purchased another new one in 99, a F350 w/7.3 (RIP), - Kissed a wall, on a dark and stormy night, running the turnpike somewhere in PA. Was drivable, air bags didn't deploy, but they still totaled it. I never did replace that one.

I had tons of money back then, what happen to it all?? Whine whine, - Marriage, kids and divorce.....

Soooo, still have the 98 and probably will never sell it.

I probably won't be keeping my Mustang. Got about 35 payments left. I love it though. It just gets me in way too much trouble...Plus I really want a truck again, I miss my old one.

It is amazing to me how long they will finance a car for these days. A 7-year car note is just a little under half of my mortgage term (15-year loan).....

Mine's been paid off for a few years now. Put too much money into it, so I'm gonna keep it.

And yeah, some of the loans are crazy. I'd hate to see how much interest you actually pay on them.

Same here...

I deeply want a new F250 diesel... but after paying mine off, it's really nice having the cash to buy... like other cool stuff, like trailers, RC trucks, etc I've also been saving up to buy a new motorcycle.

It's all fun and games until you have a $500 truck payment for 7 years on a stupid pickup truck.

The trick is, never stop making vehicle payments. Whether it's to yourself or the bank. If you start out right, the benefits can more than double. Now you can learn how to do all this on the net, where before you had to be taught by someone who new. IF you new anyone that is.

I do this... but not what my truck payment was... just slightly less.

Good recommendation though. I highly recommend it.

Paid mine off about 6 years ago. I'd like to keep it forever but it's really more than what we need right now. Looking to trade it in for an Escape.
