I would have mine paid off right now but I refied it twice in order to get a lower interest rate and drop my payment so I could buy a house.

So currently I have 33 months left on my payment but its only $275 a month....After I finish the exterior of my house this year and landscaping, I will start throwing extra money at it to get it paid off. I want it paid for before I hit 100K miles (bought it used 4 years ago with 38K and currently sitting at 80,500)

I plan on keeping it until it no longer runs....and will replace tranny and engine if need be. I'm looking towards a 2017-2019 brand new F150 to replace her if need be.

Mine's been paid off since the 2nd month I owned it -- the only reason I financed it at all was to get the additional $1000.00 rebate that Ford credit was offering at the time I bought it. I'm keeping mine forever -- literally! The goal for me is to put around 500 miles per year on it and then one day leave it to my son (he's 5 now -- maybe when he's in his 40's?) as a low-mileage, pristine example of a Ford truck from this era -- hopefully he and I will have many memories in it between then and now.....

Some people dont have tons of money so why not finance it for a few more years to get a cheaper monthly payment? After all its a ford, not like its gonna be ready for the junk yard once its paid off

Exactly. I don't have tons of money, have other bills to pay and don't want a 500+ truck payment a month. I'll stick to my 7 year old low monthly payment, more money in my pocket truck that will more than likely last another 10+ years.

Ive got a few months short of 4 years left on my loan (bought 2/09) and I hope to keep it for a while after its paid off because Im sick of having car payments.
It sure would be nice to put that money towards something else besides a car loan.

Right now its got 86k and 38k of those are my miles. Its going to have high mileage when its paid off but thats ok.

I figured out that in 72 months I'll have over 200,000 on mine. By the time I'm planning on having it paid off it'll have around 175,000

Most of them around here by the mileage. If too many miles on one, then they wont.
