Bought this a few weeks back...

Real out of date old style but sure does ride nice... this one truly was a single owner one mans Garage kept car with only 52K on it. 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis. It's an LS model with the main premium convenience options added on to it. Auto... everything and it all works!

Its going to be my new Daily Driver Grand kid hauling car...

Don't have much in the way of pictures except these... and it actually is nicer than it even looks in them. The interior Leather is mint and so is the exterior...

You can put like 2 bodies in the trunk.... and so far I am getting 21-22 mpgs running around mixed sorts of driving... regular gas!

That's excellent condition for a twelve year old car.

Well... I paid top dollar for it. At least I paid top NADA book retail price... $7500... but I thought it was worth it. They actually wanted more of course. It had real good records with it and they had done a lot of stuff once they got it. Belts and fluids etc. Was able to get them to throw in a short power train warranty as well but did agree on $7500 but I traded a 99 Taurus wagon to them that I had bought a year back for $2000 and drove about 5k miles for exactly the same $2000.

But I got to say... I have not seen a cleaner 12 year old car in my life. In fact not seen one only five or six years old this clean and well kept.

Dude -- you are going to be "the cat's meow" with 70-year-old chicks all over town in that ride.......

Seriously, though -- it will make a nice "family truckster"......

My parents had one as a rental car a few years ago after my mom's car got hit. I drove it and it was like a living room on wheels. Very comfortable driving and riding car.

Yeah my sixty-something year old parents are in the market for a new car. My old man likes the Lincoln Town car. Thing is it seems there's always "Missing Elderly, Lincoln Town Car, license plate xxx, xxx" warnings on the highway warning signs and that makes him a bit apprehensive.

Like riding on a cloud. Mercedes sedan sort of feel to it. No seriously! But you feel like your in a time warp to like 1980 or something. I think the 2000 was the second year of a continuous periodic restyle that still was more like 10 years behind everything else in looks. The early attempt at Aerodynamics of the car from the early boxy Lincoln Town car looks. But if you prefer ride of performance over looks... and don't mind the snickers... they are a great value and superb highway cruisers. And we all know that 4.6L Ford V8 pretty well.

Plus the Ford service techs love the fact that they're easy to work on.

...and there are tons of parts out there in junk yards and a lot of various mods for them off the Crown Vic, Continental and Marauder variants.
