"Beck’s ratings have dropped from 2.9 million views in January of 2010 to 1.8 million in January of 2011 and there has been speculation about his departure for some time."

Damning numbers for sure. Until you give it some perspective.

There have been highs and lows, and an average of about two millions viewers. You think that FOX News was thinking that because Becks ratings have dropped from thier highs that they need to get someone in his time slot that is going to best O'Riellys numbers?

People watch too much tv anyhow.

I cant believe that that happened!

thoughts?
I think many folks like thinking of themselves as sheep. Many folks just don't know how to deal with an over-badgered conscience and something has to give or they will end up Postal. Sheep are released from the burden of work required to figure out things for themselves. All they need to do is be led to pasture. The doom, gloom, fear and hate herd need someone to tell them how to think and Beck is one of the many talented actors that can feed them.

He seems like a pretty accomplished truth twister. I personally despise him. His lies are well crafted and easily digested by those who need someone to tell them how to think. He feeds the natural man. The natural man loves fear, doom, gloom and hates anyone outside the herd. It is man's nature to cling to those feel good things.

I know almost instantly when someone is speaking, whether they are speaking for themselves or whether they are just vomiting up the krill they've been consuming from someone like Beck.

The Becks of the world will always be here they are a necessary evil. It would be interesting to learn what tit of propaganda he's been sucking on that has given him such zeal.

Very insightful.

You mean lies like:

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.

Health Care deals will be covered on C-span.

Recovery Act will save or create jobs.

Unemployment rate will be 8.5% without stimulus.

No Earmarks in the $787 Billion Stimulus.

I happen to be a proponent of a single payer universal health care plan.

We have launched a housing plan that will help responsible families facing the threat of foreclosure lower their monthly payments and refinance their mortgages.

I am not somebody who promotes same-sex marriage.

Guantanamo bay to be closed within a year.

Won’t Raise taxes on those making less than 250,000 per year.
Tell me about thoes sheep. The thing is, the guy telling these lies isn't some "clown" on TV. He's in a position where he can really cause some serious damage to our country, as we are seeing play out in real time.
