You may want to start with http://www.allpar.com

I seem to recall a lot of Dodge oriented links on that site...

well, a while back I was checking out the Durangos too (before I finally decided to get my third F-150 in 5 years) They are a decent vehicle. The only things I didn't like was the price, the gas mileage (which is mainly only bad because I had to have the 5.9L, LOL) and it didn't seem as solid as the Fords, even the Expedition (which is what I compared it to, since comparing SUV to Truck is like comparing apples to oranges). Many of the components just seemed "cheap" and anything that you wanted added on from the factory they really rape you on (for example, for the "premium" speaker set up which is 8 speakers throughout, they wanted something like $1200 extra. Seemed like a ripoff for an extra 4 speakers, and they weren't even that great of quality of speakers.
Other then that though, they weren't too bad. I couldn't find ANY enthusiast pages like this one for the durangos though .

Heading out now to put down a deposit. Yeah, they are a little on the expensive side. About $33,000 and that's just the LST model. I must add that I went preshopping yesterday for her and found a nice one with leather. Damn, she did'nt like the silver color. Used the leather as an excuse. Went back last night and she found a nice dark blue with silver running boards, pretty one. Whew, I hate shopping for ANYTHING with her! But she wants this one and I like it too! About a month ago I inquired about purchasing a Harley. Response was, "When you sell your truck. hahaha!" Now I have a trump card. nyuck, nyuck, nyuck.

Sorry but, Are You Out Of Your Mind?? A Durango for $ 33,000.00 Thats what I paid for my King Ranch Screw loaded, which is what you must be to spend that kind of cash on a Mopar. IMHO. P.S When you get it home park it next to your Screw (which I know cost you less) and try to tell yourself you made the right decision. Perhaps your having a bad dream.

Hey, it's her money and it's what she wants. Needs the third seat for her business! BTW, how can I argue? She paid off the loan on my truck a week before the first payment was due! See where I'm going with the Harley thing? ennis :-) : --8

Talking

My wife has a 1998 Durango SLT 4X4 that we like alot. Its not a Ford of course but we have traveled alot of miles in it and we have not had any problems with it. It is a very comfortable vehicle to travel in and the fold back seat allows you to have alot of cargo space while keeping the ability to haul 6 or 7 people. Dodge rates this as having the ability to haul 7 or 8 people but 6 is comfortable and 7 is ok. I would highly recommend it for your wife as long as you have a F150 around!

Last night I saw an ad for an Explorer and noticed it had a third seat also. But she wants the Durango. We take delivery this afternoon. I'll post a picture of it real soon. Thanks all for the positive feedback. ennis :-) : --8

Well I got to drive my bride to the airport last night, a round trip of about 100 miles or so, all highway! Take my truck any day over that. I had it going about 80 or so (90 min round trip) and found it to be kind of light as it tended to be all over the road. Thought other drivers wanted to push me around and take over a lane, something that never happens in my truck. Going back Sunday in the F150! ennis :-) : --8
