enjoy the torrents while you can. now that internet providers are implementing bandwidth caps, those who torrent alot will get screwed.

Device compatibility. FLAC support isn't as broad.

My head unit & home receiver only play wav, mp3, aac & wma. And the head unit will only play mp3s off of the sd card unfortunately. You have to burn the others to physical disc to be able to play them.

Why download FLAC which is a lot larger file size and then convert to MP3? Why not just save yourself the time and get the MP3 version first?

Frostwire and Limewire were shutdown with a court injunction.

those who torrent a lot would either find a way past these "caps" or just switch service providers.

Comcasts cap is 250GBs which for most people should not be an issue, even with torrenting. I am one of the few who do have an issue with it as I tend to do that in a week if not less. I just happen to be in an area where everyone uses FIOS though, so I just hop between internet connections once in a while. 2 of my neighbors hardly ever use their internet, so they told me I can hop on whenever I like.

now frostwire downloads the torrents. Super weird! But the past couple days whenever I enter the URL for the torrent into Utorrent, nothing happens. The torrent used to automatically download, now nothing happens. WTF. I even tried it in Bittorrent. Same thing. What gives...!?

Nobody tell Kobiashi you're downloading music.
Screw AT&T for starting to cap their internet usage. They have a higher threshold if you have their Uverse service, but that's why they cap data on their cell phones, to try to force you to have their wifi. I hope everyone doesn't start capping, so far CenturyLink doesn't.
I use audacity to convert from FLAC. It's free.
