Rhonda, I was just thinking about your bike issues and wondered how things turned out, the suspense is killing me.

Did you get it fixed yet? And what did you have to do to it?

Honestly...I would part it out and buy new/er. I am an MMI grad. (Grad in 1999), Factory Honda and Kawasaki cert., dealership/factory trained/cert. HD, Suzuki, Yamaha, Polaris, Sea Doo/Ski Doo. Oh and I am also a Fulltime Blackhawk Crew Chief in the National Guard (8 years) and I have seen some crew chiefs who I wouldn't let touch a tv remote control, let alone a bike.....lol

I personally have had to replace 1 whole carb bank on a Yamaha VMax, sometimes something (not sure if it is sand or what) gets in the carbs and will just screw them up. If the intake side or engine side has any grooves in it, that could be the problem, there could be a small crack in one or all of the carbs that is causing an air of fuel leak where it shouldn't be, etc. Every shop I worked at (except the Harley place), we turned away anything that was 8 years old or older, stuff like that usually has too many problems and half the time cost more then the bike is worth just to figure out what is wrong, let alone rebuild it.

I am interested if your guy found out what is wrong though, I can tell you that those bikes were sometimes a pain to sync the carbs if someone F'ed with the screws.

Well the update is it's as fixed as it's gonna be. According to the mech. The factory jacked up my air/fuel settings. Each one was on a different setting. It runs like a completely different bike. Sorry for the delay in the update been out riding
