Unhappy Another Police Officer Shot and Killed....

What is this world coming to? Last nite another police officer shot and killed in St. Petersburg, Fl. He was investigating a suspicious person call @ 10:30 PM last night. No good leads so far, besides a young, skinny black male with dreadlocks. There apparently were witnesses but it seems like no one knows anything. This is the 3rd police officer killed (shot) within the last 30 days in the same city. Rest in peace.

Well, with the complete lack of respect for the people who have volunteered to protect us, chaos.

It doesn't seem likely with the events currently happening in our country and beyond, but we can hope that people realize that we need to respect each other, especially thoes who are there to protect us.

When there is scum in our society that doesn't think twice about killing a police officer, what makes people think for a second that us ordinary citizen are any safer.
And people wonder why I carry !

Terrible news. Who knew that a young black man would ever shoot a cop?

They caught the butt squirt. Now comes the trial and the telling of how society failed this little butt squirt and it isn't his fault he pulled the trigger multiple times to kill the cop.

He's already admitted he did it. Chief thinks he'll be tried as an adult because of his previous record. Should get life, anything less is a failure of the system.

Yeah, been watching on the news....16 year old wanna-be thug. He looks like a real tough guy.

They are already interviewing a few scumbag defense attorneys who are already saying "He's only 16...he probly just paniced and didn't know what to do"....it's so sad for him too" WTF??? CRY ME A RIVER, HE HAD A GUN IN HIS HAND AND SHOT A POLICE OFFICER, MULTIPLE TIMES!!

Like any 16 year old is gonna "panic" and murder someone. I don't see how some of these attorneys sleep at night. His "homiez" that turned him in, are probly trying to figure out how to spend the $200,000 reward money. Sorry for the rant everyone.

Yes, i have been keeping up on this. My wife used to live in St. Pete when i met her. I always thought it was a nice place.. don't get me wrong there are scum everywhere. It just seems they have had a very rough go of it the last few months. Since the little punk is under 18, the most he can get is life in prison. The Supreme (yeah, right) Court passed a law a few years ago if you are under 18 you can kill someone and we can't kill you back. Seems like a huge flaw to me...it seems his parents brought him.. well, that's one thing they did right. I was hopping for him to go down in a hail of gunfire, but now we get to spend millions to keep him alive in prison the rest of his life.. unless he hires OJ's attorneys..Lord help this country.

Hey UJ, hope your doing good.

I just cant stand it when they say how sad they are for the killer....because of him a wife lost her husband and a daughter lost her father. I think that reward money should go to them.

Hey bud, doing well. Did you finally move up to Tally yet?
Yeah, it's always tragic how they make the "alleged" killer out to be a victim. Give me a break. I have 3-4 buddies who are cops in Hillsbough county.. i always tell them to be careful... we pay guys who can dribble a baseketball millions and cops get shot at for too much less...

I thought is was nice also, until I started working in the area. I wouldn't go into St. Pete unarmed for anything. I would only go into the city if I had to or if I went with several other officer friends. I had to do an interview in one area I grabbed the shotgun out of the back. Not for defense, but I didn't want it to get stolen with the car. The problems with the city have been building a long time. Hell they named a community center after a drug dealer who fought with St Pete officers trying to arrest him and was shot and killed as a result.

I can't tell you how many cases I had to work that originated in St Pete but splashed into my jurisdiction. They provided absolutely no support for us working their cases. It got to the point that we stopped working them. If St Pete wanted to solved the problem they would have provided support. Our Chief decided we weren't going to waste our resources working their cases and have to put up with them trying to dictate how we work the case. We became little more than trash collection for St Pete, but it was easier than working the case and having them throw up roadblocks every time we did anything. I really feel for the officers working for that city. They do the best they can with what they have, but it sucks for them.
