"THE", being the hatred of Jews. The same hatred the deceived Arabs of the M.E. have for the Jews is the same satanic hatred that Hitler had. And that is that they should be "exterminated." True history and excavations of Jerusalem and it's surrounding areas do not support the opinions of the Arab nations.

I believe it to be hatred from all sides in the ME, that's why no amount of pressure, economic or military by the West will "clean up" the mess of centuries.

"THE" being???
THE being not the root/only/main/biggest problem. Plus we're off topic, Israel didn't start or promote any of the riots going on in Egypt.

But I guess that is only natural, anything goes wrong in the m/e and right away Israel is dragged into the mix. That was what I meant by the "have you stopped beating your wife yet" question comment.

Yasser Arafat made a career out of pionting at the "Jews" with one hand while stealing from the Palastinians with the other hand. One of the problems in the m/e is this type of "leadership" is more the rule and not the exception. There are so many things wrong with that part of the world, you could never identify anything as "THE" problem.

I didn't drag Israel into the mix, I just piggybacked off that comment, as you did. You are correct it is off topic.

Serotta, I wasn't bashing you on the Israel thing, just noted we were getting off track.

By my comment I meant that Israel gets dragged in as somewhat of a knee jerk reaction most of the time, weather they have a horse in the race or not. My point was that, that part of the world is a can of worms at best and there is no one thing that can fix it. Except maybe devine intervention----but that opens up a whole nother derailment to this thread.

Looks as if we all tend to have similar feelings about this issue, but apparently articulate it in different ways.

I really didn't think you were bashing me. I've been bashed before and mostly spot it for what it is.

You know that alot of this is media driven, for what reason I have no clue. But it struck me that when I looked at the pictures originaly posted that the same faces were shown on different days, like they were following a small group to see what happened. I thought that was kind of strange.

It's like when we have an earth quake out here in Calif, the news shows the damage from every concievable angle, when the damage is usually a small area. But by the time the "news" hits other parts of the country you would think the whole state is sinking into the Pacific Ocean! I think we need to kind of filter what we are being shown/told about what is going on in Egypt. And I do pray for the best.

Defending one's nation and civilians against rocket attacks is not hatred, it is a right. The Jews have the right to live. They are not sub-human, which is how the Arabs view Jews.
