Ideas for a new computer

Our computer took a crap last night and it looks like we are in the market for something new.It was an older Dell and have had it about 6-7 years so can't complain.I noticed some guys were building one up on another thread, but that is a little more than I care to do.What would you buy and where would you purchase it?Do not need any super fast gaming type just a good all round computer.Am looking for the whole deal comp, keyboard, screen etc.I see that mac now has a windows option as well anyone have experience with this.Thanks.

I'd buy another Dell. What's your budget?

Build your own. With that budget(1500-1800) you could build something that dell would be selling for prob 3 grand.

Local computer shop, I like them because they give better technical support, they speak english. Plus they can get you a machine that doesn't have all the "free crap" that expires in 30 days then is stuck on your machine.

I paid $450 for my last desktop and it's been good. Thinking of getting a new one just to have one.

At least go check them out.

I hate Dells. I had one before. Power supply crapped out in a month. Got another one for free. two weeks later the power supply craps out. never again

HP or Gateway. Or custom if i had the funds
