Doesn't the bible also say something like:

Love thy neighbour?
Though shall not judge?
God doesn't make mistakes?

All you're doing is cherry picking the parts of the bible that suit your bigoted agenda and you know it. You're not alone, there's lots of people like you who want to keep it legal to discriminate against others under the guise of "Freedom of Religion".

Apparently the thought that many gay Americans are also Christian is apparently lost on you. As for the rest of your blather, it's all just a bunch of stupid rationalization to use 'your version' of your religion in an attempt to deny other people their rights.


Regardless of your spin on trying to justify your hate, you are still discriminating and it's illegal.

Well now where even cause you called me stupid as well "Mr High Ground Civil Rights boy" There is no denying what God says he will do to wicked people (men who lie with men Aka Homosexuals) and you'll never twist that. Ok, guys, you are taking things too far and drifting from the original question. You need to quit expanding the debate by making accusations about what one person believes or does not believe. If this does not stop, I will have no choice but to close this one.

 

I'm curious. As a Christian, do you believe that homosexuality is a sin?

 

So what are you saying? The good old Rev. Phelps and his Westboro Baptist Church is right? The are ok in heckling and hating on others because they perceive their sin?

I agree that we all should try to be better people and that just throwing in the towel and being as unruly and sinful as possible is wrong.

There are many parts of the Bible that have Jesus protecting prostitutes and alike and overlooking their sins. The God described in the New Testament was a loving and forgiving God that if you believed in Him as your savior you would be saved.

The twisting of the good book to support one's bigotry is just as vile as butt bumping, stealing or any other sin.

I remember when I was in my late teens I started dating this girl whose parents were these pretty hardcore Bible thumpers. Admittedly I have never been a regular on Sunday at church. I believe in God and all but I don't think I need to sit in the building to believe in Him.

Long story short, this guy was ridiculing and pretty much a jerk to me because he didn't perceive me as a "Christian" in his view. Oh I forgot to mention that he was divorced from the girl's mom. Ok we all make mistakes. And he had been divorced and has divorced a couple more times since my encounters with him eons ago. Somehow I think that his sin is pretty heavy. God doesn't recognize divorce in the Bible except under very rare circumstances so I have a hunch that while butt bumping may be a vile sin, so isn't adultery, so isn't sex outside of marriage...they all are pretty high up there. Much higher on the hierarchy than say a little white lie!

How is ridiculing and heckling someone ministering to them? You catch more flies with honey than vinegar. If these "so called" Christians really wanted to minister to people, they would drown them in love and help them see the light. You can hate the sin and still love the sinner.

 

This is another example of where you put words into someone's mouth and try to put them on the defense. I have warned you previously. He never said he supported the Rev., that was aasigned to him by another poster. Stick with the facts and quit trying to needle people.

Have you had a homosexul experience in your life and didn't like it?
What caused all this anger towards them?

Oh wait, maybe you did like it and now you feel shame and are projecting? You are a projecting self loather?

Sure the Bible says homosexuality is a sin so I'll go along with you on that one.

Sex outside of marriage is a sin too and I am sure in all of our younger days, most of us were guilty of that one too! :o

Being a bigot and persecuting others is a sin too. How is committing another sin going to correct a sin?

 

I've worn out the edit button, all I have left is the ban button.

I notice this post was another needling post that tries to put someone on the defense. That needs to cease.
