? about powdering wheels

Im thinking about powder coating my kmc ss wheels black chrome the only problem is I have the plastic cap that goes over the lug nuts and its plastic. Will they be able to powder coat them or will I have to have the paint shop match it up and paint them?

They most likely can't be powder coated. PC'd items are baked at around 400*, so anything that would melt under those conditions is not PC-able.

I guess if it came down to it I could have the spokes powdercoated like this wheel but in grey and have the lip powdercoated black chrome.

Yeah that's what I was thinking I hope the paint shop can match the black chrome and mix up a paint really close.

You can buy a kit from the local auto parts store that allows you to paint plastic black chrome. Its a special paint that bonds with plastic. We used it on a friend of mine's gmc grille. Came out pretty sweet looking. Really shiny
