Went to get a 2011 Harley F-150 today (dealership rant)
First let me start off by saying that this is my second time in this dealership in NY. The first time was back in 07 when I was looking for an F-150. A sales guy back then showed me a Saleen F-150 and since I didn't want it (not what I was looking for) he walked away so me and my father left. I ended up going home (to NC) and I bought the truck I currently have.
Well today I decided to give that dealership in NC another chance b/c they have the 2011 Harley in stock. We started talking finacially and they offered me 14K for my truck with 46K miles on it. Before we got to this point I knew there was going to be issues b/c the manager told me I couldnt use the x-plan on the Harley and that he could get more than what it stickered for (sounds like the GT Shelby 500 bs again). I told the guy thank you bc I felt like they weren't working with me and I'm in no rush to get rid on my truck. I just spoke to the dealership in NC that I bought both my truck and car from and they said I can use the X-plan. I will call them tomorrow b/c they were about to close and discuss this more. NADA states that a clean trade in is 20K
PS Why is it that in NY people always want to get over?

You do have a nice truck, so keep it for now. The 2011 Harley is very sweet and the 6.2 is a dream. But, they aren't going to make a ton of them at the price level, not now anyway. As such, you need to wait to get a deal. Remember, it kind of is the GT500 of Ford trucks. And, like has been said, large city dealers are going to mark them up because then can and still sell them. Unfortunately, they also get the alotments from the OEMs.
Dealerships change. I had a great experience buying my truck at a dealer in Charlotte. When time came for my wife to get another car, she wanted an Edge so we made the trip over to the dealer (About 35-40 minutes) and they treated us like crap. It ended in a shouting match and I stormed off dragging my wife behind. They were calling us all the way home and tried to apologize, but we've never been back. We did buy a used Edge from a VW dealer and had a great experience there and I would reccommend them.

This should help you keep that awesome truck you have. Give it a good wash, paint cleaner, polish, wax the whole nine yards... walk about ten feet away and turn around and look at it. That should help you make up your mind. I'll gladly trade you my truck even steven, and you can trade it in on that new Harley edition. How's that? Deal???
thanks for the compliment. I'm still undecided. I do love my truck especially the color.
I used to own a Harley Davidson F150, I know how nice they are. It is a tough choice I agree but your truck is REALLY nice man. I think the advice about letting the new engines get a year under its belt is good.
Buckdroppers right too, I think gas might be makings its way back up towards $4 again this year
