Actually if I remember correctly it went something like, "this also works for piece of crap users, I mean pc users."

Then was quickly edited because he didn't have the stones to show everyone that he was being a jackass.

Kinda harsh overreaction to a post isn't it?

Most of the time, the parts are the same between a desktop Mac and a desktop PC.
The OS is what changes.
I hate OSX (apple), and personally have never have any problems using windows products.
What problems I did have are normally my own fault.

Mac is just overpriced IMO.
But w/e turns you on.

Well like I said , I didn't see it --- I meant that figuratively but apparently it was literal as well. I'd agree the original comment was uncalled for.

It's amazing to me how polarizing the issue of Mac vs PC can be. I've used Mac's since their first introduction and I've NEVER had a virus. I HAVE experienced Freezes and crashes and most recently a failed superdrive - a widespread problem with Macs.

I don't see either as superior or limiting but I do find the Mac OSX easier to use compared to my Dad's PC. And I'd agree that Mac's are overpriced but it's the system I prefer.

Use whichever you like and feel is most productive for you!

Why wast time targeting like 1% of the market (mac) when you can target the majority of it? (pc)

I have been using a PC since I was around 13/14 and they are really easy to understand and use now.

But I guess not everyone is as pc savvy as me, and I guess not everyone spends $1600 building a Pc to play games on.
Thats what I like, and if you like mac then good for you!

I started on the PC, but played consoles more, now that I have a custom built rig I will never go back to consoles.

I personally run windows products only, I don't like apple because of the fact that they intentionally limit you to using only things they want you to. However I have no problem with someone else using a mac or iphone, its your personal preference and your money. However I don't like when people attack my choice of computer or phone, especially when they use stupid arguments like mac's don't get viruses or they just work.

Ya' had me believing you until you used the "stupid"... etc, etc. Then you lost all creditability.

You have to admit those are pretty stupid arguments considering there are viruses for the mac, and they don't always just work.

Agreed, but viruses for the Mac are far and few between. We have three Macs and two generic PC's (actually 3, but one is not on the net). While they don't always work, they require fewer reboots than our PC's. Is it worth the extra cost? Obviously it is to me since I own three, it may not be to others.

As an aside, I can also see some correlation based on Liberal or Conservative. Liberals tend more toward Macs while Conservatives tend more toward PC's. I am the exception to that rule...

Yikes! waiting for that comment to hit the fan... hahaha

For those of you just tuning in, it's a joke!!

I agree, virus are so few that you don't even really need an antivirus, but windows you have to have one, but Microsoft does offer an extremely good one for free. My computers hardly ever need rebooted, but I stay on top of them and am fairly knowledgeable about computers.
I also agree with the liberal vs conservative, but also a lot of the younger generations like the macs because its a fashion statement. I am the exception to the rule on that.

wow i created quite a stir haha. Im glad I was able to help those who have the same "issue i have" and the only issue I have with my mac. I didnt start this thread to cause any drama. The PC call out was dumb...i got it. Just tryin to spread the word on a helpful download. And I will throw this out. Ive had a Toshiba, Dell, HP and E machines. All were BRAND NEW. EVERY single one had issues. I know how to use computers pretty well and what they require in order to run at optimal performance, but they all had Multiple issues. PCs are supposed to replaced every 4 years, says consumer reports. Mac on the other hand, if updated with all the new software and firmware, is good for double that. I bought this MBP for $450 from a friend. Best money I have EVER spent!

To late now, this thread is already out of control. I knew you were just trying to give us PC users a hard time, but you should have left it up so we didn't look like jackasses when we commented.
