Serious Subject: Do You Butter Your Bread?

Butter on sandwiches totally grosses me out. It all goes back to when I was a kid and my mom used to pack sandwiches for me and dad for lunch. She applied the butter too thick for my liking, which proceeded to harden in the cooler, and when you went to bite into your sandwich you got about 1/8" of hardened butter with every bite.....
I'm usually a Miracle Whip kind of guy when it comes to sandwiches.....

I enjoy toast 3 ways:
1) With butter only 2) With butter and jelly or jam 3) With Peanut Butter.
3) is my favorite way to eat toast. I did not disover the pleasures of PB on toast until adulthood. Love it! Great on sourdough toast, too.
Jelly or jam w/ no butter is tolerable on toast, but not as good as jelly w/butter
On sandwiches, my mom always mayde them with butter for our school lunches. Now, I tend to go w/out butter, just to save a few calories. No other reason, really.
On a grilled cheese or grilled ham & cheese - plenty of butter on the outside only.
Being from California, we we will put avacado on just about anyhing. A ripe avacado is a great sandwich enhancer.

I missed that the fist time around - not like me to miss an opportunity
Yes, poor Buck is getting a little long in the tooth in his old age and packing on a few extra pounds.
I don't like to say anything because it's so unlike me to point out his shortcomings.
I sort of 'almost' feel sorry for him, but not quite.
Oh look, I just so happen to have that link handy of Bucky's picture, take a good look, its a face only a mother could love:
