Besides, all the added fat from the butter would make me look like ol' Bucky...

Butter on sandwiches totally grosses me out. It all goes back to when I was a kid and my mom used to pack sandwiches for me and dad for lunch. She applied the butter too thick for my liking, which proceeded to harden in the cooler, and when you went to bite into your sandwich you got about 1/8" of hardened butter with every bite.....

I'm usually a Miracle Whip kind of guy when it comes to sandwiches.....

Nobody likes those people that remember threads from the past

I saw a joke today wit and it made me think of you :

After 30 years of marriage to Florence, Jim the plumber left his wife. The note on the kitchen table simply read "It's over Flo"

Only when the sandwich is crazy (includes butter on bread, chips, ham, and tomatoes).

Otherwise, I use mayo.

I enjoy toast 3 ways:
1) With butter only 2) With butter and jelly or jam 3) With Peanut Butter.

3) is my favorite way to eat toast. I did not disover the pleasures of PB on toast until adulthood. Love it! Great on sourdough toast, too.

Jelly or jam w/ no butter is tolerable on toast, but not as good as jelly w/butter

On sandwiches, my mom always mayde them with butter for our school lunches. Now, I tend to go w/out butter, just to save a few calories. No other reason, really.

On a grilled cheese or grilled ham & cheese - plenty of butter on the outside only.

Being from California, we we will put avacado on just about anyhing. A ripe avacado is a great sandwich enhancer.

The only time I put butter on bread is if it's toast or if I'm grilling the sandwich.

Yes, poor Buck is getting a little long in the tooth in his old age and packing on a few extra pounds.
I don't like to say anything because it's so unlike me to point out his shortcomings.

I sort of 'almost' feel sorry for him, but not quite.

Oh look, I just so happen to have that link handy of Bucky's picture, take a good look, its a face only a mother could love:

Sick bastage.........

I think the real issue to be concerned about here is that Habs is basically asking Bucky to come "butter his bread" with his "deli meat"...

Butter on a sandwich is disgusting. I'll cook with butter but I don't spread it on anything, not even toast.
