Looks like we are in for more, snow squall watch/warning for the area again for the next day or so. I even had to tow a co-workers car out this evening when I got to work. Just hooked the tow strap to the back of the import, a touch of gas and out it came. I don't even think I spun the tires.

It took me 14 hours to drive from Kirkland to Penatang in my Z.
I would stop at every Husky for a hot chocolate and warm up, the inside of the car was an ice box.
There were so many cars in the ditch, it was an awful storm, and to this day, the only reason I made it is because my car was a standard shift.
Had the same thing happen on a drive from North Bay to Ottawa. My room-mate's Olds had a clogged heater core so about every 30 min we had to stop at a truck stop or Timmies so we could get some hot choc or coffee to warm us up and left the car idleing to warm the interior and defrost the windshield. Once back on the road the windshield would frost up again, he would drive while I used the scraper to keep the inside of the windshield clear. Took us 6 hrs to make the trip, normally its 3.5.

I wouldn't call it lucky my man, unless you're into snowmobiling, skiing and getting colds, flu's than ya, you'd be right!! I will take snow over hurricanes though, think that is an obvious one. I use to hate snow, last year for example: It would snow a decent amount BUT, the traffic, accidents were enough to drive me insane (I drive big trucks). I was also getting paid per trip vs now being hourly. Now, the more waiting, the more I get paid!! Of course, all this snow OP (97XL) is showing meant an additional 10-15 minutes of delay, wow Figures, they call that fate mocking me I suppose. It is fun driving the 4x4 in this crap though, Mine plows through like an angry teenager driving a tank!
Those are nice pics shown by all.

Forgot to say, Florida does get snow, or at least frost, no? Just enough to damage crops, not enough to do doughnuts in the parking lot though!

I want to experience that once. Maybe twice...anyway, just not frequently. Just look out the window and say "well, looks like I'm gonna go back to bed for a couple of days."

Looks like we are in for more. They had to shut down most of the 402, road was pretty much impassible. The cops are actually recruiting ppl with 4x4 to help get stranded motorists from their cars to a warming station like a truck stop or a Timmies. Its not even winter yet and we already have half of our yearly snowfall.

I started work last night at 6pm, got back at noon today, this to do a 7.5 hr delivery round trip (2+ hrs driving each way normally). The 402 was and is shut, the 401 should be as well. It took me 7 hrs to go from Windsor to Ingersoll, 3 hrs of that was because a truck caught fire near West Lorne. The rest was black ice and whiteout conditions. It's not fun snow. Check what's going on with the 402 and the Army having to rescue ppl from their cars and trucks. I've never seen so many trucks and cars in the ditches jack knifed etc.

You could have at least said hello to us. And mentioning us each by name would have been nice too.

Okay . . . so, I have to ask. Are you originally from the Windsor, Ont. area? Did you ever live in in Southern California?

(I have a reason for asking based on what you wrote).
