Tired of the Red Light Camera's?
Here, yellow lights are 5 seconds, unless there's a camera. All of the ones with cameras were lowered to 3 seconds. T-bone accidents have gone down by about 50%, but rear-end accidents have gone up about 250%. The city doesn't care, 100 bucks a pop, one city has even made over a million dollars on these cameras. It's a scam, pure and simple, if you're doing 55, you can't stop in the distance or time allotted and you can't clear the intersection, either. They are a money racket, and they are unsafe.

Yeah it works. My oldest daughter is incredibly intelligent but shes dumb as a fence post about common things....like traffic lights. She gets a ticket about every 6 months for a red light. She spent the money with a friend for the spray and it works. A can will do about 5 plates. Dads response has always been- driving is a full time job which means no cellphone use while driving. Like most blondes, she still doesn't get it.

It appears you are doing it wrong. This scientific method has a few more steps than that.
Here is a link to help you out.
I cannot believe there are people who believe this stuff works. Those who do obviously lack any intelligence. (Hint: angle of incidence equals the angle of reflection).
Lastly- Coy, the link you posted about it "working" was provided from the people who make the stuff. I'm sure that's not biased AT ALL. How about some actual results? Such as this or this (Mythbusters).

I am very doubtful that as a general rule this would work. the theory is good, they have tried several things like this in europe & realistically the only way of not getting a ticket is not to run the light in the first place. Another myth is to stretch shrink wrap (or the like) over the plate, which again in theory makes it more reflective. In some countries u could try "adjusting" the number with tape but of course this would not work here due the type of plates we have & would really stand out like a sore thumb!
