for this time around given your situation, do some research into some local bakeries & get a 81 Firebird cake made for them.... they'd get a kick out of it.... I'd also look into any local Firebird forums/clubs in your area - given it's February, it may be tough to bring them to an event such as this - http://www.firebirdnation.com/forums...9-saratoga-ny/ but perhaps you could persuade/donate a few $$ for some member to show up at your parents with an 81 Firebird & give them a ride.....

Anyways....just a couple suggestions....

I should print your original post and save it for when our 11 year old grows up.... ( I'll tell the lil' jerk we bought a Porsche 911 for a wedding present but had to sell it to buy him diapers...... )

That's the way it is. Writing them a nice letter along with a card goes along way. More than you realize.
