This is by far the snobbiest forum ever....
Just like the title says. As you can see I haven't been here long and at the risk of being flamed and or banned I'm going to speak my mind anyways. I frequent a lot of different forums in the different hobbies of mine. I have to honestly say this is the most snobby site I have been on. I have never seen more "why don't you try the search" replies anywhere else. This is a forum and your always going to have the lazy *** that doesn't want to do the search. Its been that way forever and it will always be that way. Instead of taking the time to just reply with a legit answer you feel the need to reply with the same crappy search reply. If you have written the answer more then once then why not just put a link to it or just not reply at all and force them to search. Anyone ever heard of the saying "I would be a Christian if it weren't for Christians"? I feel like you could say I would own a f150 if it weren't for f150 owners.
Don't get me wrong there is a lot of helpful stuff on here but the ****ty replies are just too much!!!

No one is being snobby. How would you like it if new people came on here everyday and asked you the same question over and over?..especially when the answer is on the forum. It would get old really quick. Dont get mad at us for telling you to search. I am also on a bunch of different forums and they do the same thing. Maybe everyone on the forums your on is lazy...

I have a 2000 F150 Supercab XLT, 4.6 automatic. A couple of months ago my check engine light came on, I had Autozone read the codes. They said maf malfunction. Read here to try cleaning with maf cleaner. Cleaned and reset lamp. Drove good for a few weeks then started running rough and check engine light comes on. Back to Autozone, this time egr is ineffective. Read the forumm about cleaning intake and egr ports. Took it apart, sure enough ports are almost completely blocked. Cleaned every thing and reset the light. Runs good for about 20 miles and then starts missing and check engine light. Back to Autozone, this time I get the code P1151. Read through post and decide to replace drivers side upstream o2 sensor. Also changed fuel filter at this time. Reset the light and took for a test drive. Initially seemed good but the farther I drove the I still had a miss at 35 to 40 at steady acceleration. Smoothes out at cruising speed but misses under a load ( like going up a hill). Proably 75 miles and 12 on/off driving cycles. There is no check engine light on now. Any ideas are appreciated. This forum is full of so much great info and helpfull people.

Well in my short time here i have learned invaluble knowledge about my rig.
Thanks to many of the people here who have saved me from spending a few hundred bucks to punch holes in my pistons (a washoobi right MGD
)
I took my first steps in modifying my truck today.... GOTTS MOD!
Spent a whopping 17 dollars on it! And i dont know if its me or if these are intended results but it seems to cruise about 200 rpm lower than it did before... Throttle response seems just a touch better...
Next mod is going to be an edge CS.

no one can help you, until you help yourself. if you see a hobo on the corner with his hand out just begging to be helped..its annoying. if the same man was trying his heart out but just couldn't do it himself....you wouldn't mind helping. put some effort in before you waste time. sad to say, yeah some people are rough on here...but go upstairs...drop your feelings off in your bedroom....then get back on the site.

There are thousands of people who come to this site and only a handful that ask questions without searching. If you type "site:f150online.com <what you're looking for>" into google you'll get even better results than the site's search provides sometimes.
I can't believe you're bitching because you didn't take 5 minutes to research before asking a dumb / repetitive question... respect has to be earned, and if you keep asking questions without researching first, there won't be much respect.
