Radar detectors have been illegal here in Virginia ever since they were invented, or I started driving, whichever came first.

Anyways I remember what it was like to be young behind the wheel.
If you really can't help yourself from putting your foot in it
just wedge a piece of wood up under the gas pedal, that's a alot cheaper than a $400 detector.

If you are scared your friends will see that wood then don't do that.
Instead just unhook three of your spark plugs.
Unless you are driving one of those dang six cylinders, then just unhook two.

If you don't know what a spark plug is, then put a banana in yer tailpipe.
You know what a banana is don't you?

If you don't want to spend $400 on a radar/laser detector, that's OK---but I bet you can get a spell-check program for free.
