Can someone suggest a good media creator software for under $75, something to edit/ create dvds and cds, nothing to fancy just for personal use, something easy to use (the wife may want to use it). Any help is appreciated, by the way I use Vista and memory capacity is no problem.

By far the best and easiest software I have ever used is Sony Vegas Movie Studio. They have different versions. The middle and top versions include DVD Architect. The cheapest does not, but you can purchase DVD Architect separately. You cost will be a little over 75, but I have tried just about everything else and find these the best. i am now using the Vegas Pro version to create BluRays. With the middle version you can also make BluRay.

One thing I have found with software like Nero or Roxio is they seem to take over your system. That will not happen with this software.

 

Windows 7 movie maker also works.
