Wow. I went at about 9:30am and walked right up to the counter. I was the only one there at the time. As soon as I started being helped a couple people walked in but it wasn't bad. I have been to the same location before and had to wait almost 1/2 an hour to renew plates. Just my lucky day I guess, I don't know. Now I just renew my plates online and they mail out the registration in order to skip the wait and not waste time.

I should clarify I do my tabs/registration renewal online as the state allowed licensing offices (private) to sell those with an additional $5 fee and mail them to you.

My driver's license is what I have to wait in line for

I don't get charged a fee for online renewals, that I know of. The price is listed as being the same no matter how I renew, being in person, online or through the mail. The renewal notice I receive in the mail a couple months prior to expiration is how I figured that out.
