2011 are too far away, time wise. Considering the vehicle is only a year old with 24k, I would guess it is worth close to 30. I think (SWAG - systematic wild *** guess) that even with replacing the frame, cost would be under 20k.

Yea, that makes sense. What a job that is for someone. I guess it's not bad with the right tools and new parts. Sounds like it is going to be like new again.

Well, got the estimate. Not as bad as I thought it would be considering what they have to do. $12,700. That includes a new frame and most of the front clip. So definitely not totaled. Unfortunately it could be 3-4 weeks til I get it back. And what I am driving is a POS Dodge Grand Caravan. For being a "Grand" version, it doesn't even have power mirrors. 45k and it rattles like a 20 year old car. Can't wait to get back in the truck.

It's Alive.

Just picked it up. Repairs look excellent and drives just like it used to. Just have to get used to driving it again. Color match is perfect.

looks great....any plans to go after the other driver for dimished value? If the Officer mentioned in the report the other driver admitted to running the red you should have a good case. Even if you were yielding on a green. Since the light was red you were simply safely clearing the intersection at the time of the accident.

There has been no police report yet. At this point, I say it is his fault and he says it is my fault. If it is determined that it is his fault, then yes I will go for diminished and what I have had to pay so far. My deductible and car rental.
