it saves on water bills to just buy it, use them and return them for a fresh exchange. I go to mcDonalds and stock up on ketchup/mustard/mayo packets and jack rolls of toilet paper from work

Same deal with my optima at Oriellys. I got the optimas when the warranty was 1 year. Well mine went out and when they looked it up it had been almost a year and a half, but the new optimas had a three year warranty. After an hour of confusion they overrode the system and swapped me a new battery with three year warranty free replacement.

BTW I always bring my multi meter with me when getting battery’s if it doesn’t show 12v on the shelf well then no plucky. I’ve had a few bad from the get go new.
If it shows 12V you better leave it where it is because according to the chart it is nearly dead. A 12V battery should read 12.6-12.8V when fully charged.

I bought the best batteries Walmart had in 1994 for all of the trucks. About every 2 years, one will go bad and I take it back to Wally and they give me another one. I haven't paid for a battery since 1994 and the oldest one is now getting close to 2 years old. How can you beat it? Certainly not with yer Optima crap.
