Time to trade up?

Was thinking, with the deal ford is offering, 0% apr and $1,000 bonus cash, maybe its time to trade up for something nicer?

I have a 06 XLT 4X2 with 52K miles on it, I have $11,696 on payments, and likely under 11,000 for payoff at 9.9% APR.

Assuming I get low balled at trade in at $10,000, add in the $1,000 bonus cash thats the truck paid off!

I wonder if I could get in a new F-150/250 (10) or a mustang that still has the 4.6L fairly cheep?

Just thinking, and wondering what everyone else has been doing.

Why fix what isnt broke? Justify wants over needs- Your truck is practically new compared to mine and if you can afford it, go for it. If you want to save money, keep it for another 5+ years

Ahh, I was just thinking out loud.

I called a local dealer, got some prices, did some math and decided that there was nothing he had that I wanted.

I figured at 0% APR, and around (payment left on truck 3 1/2 years left) 42 months I could do $400 monthly and that only added up to 16,800, nothing he had that I wanted was in that price range.

My truck is running good, and its in good shape, like you said.
If it aint broke, don't fix it

I like to speculate, probably just gonna keep on keeping on! Likely less than 3 years to go, because after tax time I am gonna start paying close double payments each month.

Its $299 monthly, I been paying $360 monthly, after tax time I can pay around $560, might be able to push to that $600 mark, unless I go off and buy a house.

Besides I got a few $100's worth of parts I have yet to even put on the truck

Sure it was you that was wanting to get out from under the payments only a couple weeks ago. You wanted to dump it because it wasn't running right and you wanted to pull the plug and get a "beater". You've got more stories than any fiction writer that I've ever seen. Those wheels still fall'in off when you torque 'em ???
