Can someone define..
If drinking is negatively impacting your health, job performance or your relationships, it's a problem.
If you drink daily and look forward to a drink more than anything else in your day, you are headed for a drinking problem if you don't have a big one already.

Driking problems are far more common than one would think. Daily drinking is and issue. I'm not aware of anyone who does so who hasn't had or doesn't have a "problem". If you drink daily, you must "have" it or you wouldn't do it every day.
Do yourself a BIG favor and go sit in on a AA meeting or two. Introduce yourself, explain why your there. You may even enjoy yourself enough to stick around awhile. After hearing some of the members speak and tell their story you will be in a for a huge awakening as to what a true drinking problem is and what is just excessive elbow bending.
I spent a year in AA quite some years back. I met alot of great folks and heard alot of horror stories from some. I quickly realized that although I now felt that I drank "to much", I did not have a "true problem" with alcohol.
I know that I sure learned alot. I happily reduced my usual consumption by alot. I felt better, everyday life became more enjoyable, my finances improved, my attitude, personality and outlook improved. I walked away a much better, happier and wiser person.
So Please. If this is a question that you really want to find the right answer to, don't be bashful, don't feel embarrassed, just have an open mind. Go check out a meeting. Like I said, you will meet alot of great people, the coffee is always hot and you will walk away a better person with a better understanding of alcoholism and what is truly a "drinking problem".

From a personal stand point, I got a DUI 2-23-10 when I rolled and wrecked my truck. My drinking was out of control at the time. Now, when I had to do my dui classes I learned that I was a binge drinker. (Can't just have a couple when I crack the first, I drank til I was fubar.) I recognized this and have cut way way back. If the reason you started this thread is because you are concerned about yourself or loved one. Get some help please. Good luck.
