^^^

I'd say that this is a reasonable statement.

Even after this recall, I still feel way safer buying eggs from "factory farms" than from farmers markets, etc, etc. The eggs that come from farmers markets are "dirtier" than the "factory farm" ones....trust me.

I'd much rather buy my eggs, chicken, beef, pork, veggies, milk, etcfrommy local farmer than the mega-mart, but more often than not, it's much easier to go to food lion, Harris teeter, kroger, meijers, etc than it is to go to the farms.

If I could do all my shopping at the farmers market, I would.

I see your point but there are many farmers markets in or just outside just about any city and it's worth taking the extra time to go to them and get your fruits and veggies, eggs, meat etc... also i do not need anything formt eh city except maybe medical care, i have my own water source (spring) and septic system (no sewer needed) Power i still need but i make 1/4-1/2 of my own through solar.

Look i don't want to pick on the younger generation but dam what i see everyday with these young people is unreal, constant whining about life and how hard it is. The parents just cave and give them money, cars, rent, food and they are 30+ years old. This is not all but most... I think a swift kick in the azz and a taste of the hard life will motivate them into a self sufficient adult

Point made. The wife and I always say we should go to the farmers market on the weekends, but it's so freaking crowded it's a huge PITA. I should just go in to work early one day so I can cut out a little early and go to the FM then.

You have anything made of plastic in your house? Electronics? Without those city-folk you wouldn't have an internet connection to grace us with your "presence". Your truck, your power tools, etc... But again, point made. I wish I were more self sufficient.

I just turned 30 and know the exact people you're talking about, makes me pretty pissed sometimes. I figure one day it'll catch up with most of them, until then, I'll just keep on keepin' on.
