Up to 10% Ethanol in older F150
Up to 10% Ethanol in older F150
Just a thought, as I was reading about how a vehicle that isn't properly tuned to run with ethanol(e85) can cause problems with the internals.
I was wondering out of curiosity if the ~10% of ethanol can really cause any major damage to an old 98 F150(4.6 V8), and if staying with Regular gas (w/o ethanol) would be better for the engine and everything else.

No problem with 10% in anything that has O2 sensors - which have been around since 1981 or so. In fact, your 98 should be able to run up to about 35% ethanol with no problems. The only engines I've ever had issues with on 10% are lawnmowers, the ethanol is rough on the carb - so I hop over to Kansas to fill my gas can for the mower, I can still get pure gas over there. It's only 15 minutes down the road.
Trucks are fine, but E10 will foul boat engines and really gives us problems in our planes as well. My fuel lines are already leaking from the ethanol blend I've been burning since last year
