The Amish are taking over the world!!!
I saw several Amish people at Cabela's in Hamburg, PA last Saturday. One was buying a memory card for a digital camera and others were getting into vans outside. One family had a newer 15 passenger Chevy van.
They were mostly wearing sneakers too but still wearing suspenders (men) and dresses (women) and the women dont shave their legs (Im guessing pits as well).

Are you sure they were not Mennonites? They dress a great deal like the Amish, but are allowed to drive vehicles. Most Amish around here in Ohio are very, very strict in their dress.
Ive been to an actual Amish family's farm/workshop around here to pick up furniture and they were using all kinds of shop equipment thats normally electric but were running it off diesel generators and it was all belt driven. They were legit Amish and had a horse and buggy. I asked where they bought the nails and supplies and the guy said Home Depot.
Even their ancestors purchased nails from Cabin Depot.

I've only been through Amish Country a couple of times in my life.
But I'm curious, Do they clean up the horse apple the horses leave on the highways.
People have to clean up behind their dogs.
Just sayin

When we reroute our exhaust back into the vehicle's interior, they will pick up their horse dung.
You will only find them in general on back roads.
And as posted earlier, if they were in powered vehicles, they were Mennonites, not true Amish. More or less the same religion, just less strict on the old rules.
If you ever get to the Lancaster, Pa area and take the back roads, you will find them a lot easier than on the main roads, and never on highways. They aren't even allowed on regular highways.

they do not pick up the poop, its gross. Police horses and horses that pull passenger carts around in cities have to wear diapers, the amish horses should be treated no differently
I certainly haven't seen any police horses in the cities I have been in wearing diapers. Just piles behind them.
diapers for horses? that's technology!

i love these folks...
