If you spend enough time outdoors with your eyes open and your mouth shut you realize that there are a lot of things that most people have never seen and don't know about. Squirrels that cry, frogs that fly, stars that hover and move in formation. Lot's of stuff out there that ain't documented.

But that's a first for me, a deer eating a bird.

I was thinking about this. It is a male deer just starting to form antlers. Because of the antler growth, male deer in this state may need more calcium than their normal diet provides and thus be more likely to crave and eat another animal.

Hmmmm...Calcium or protein?

Aren't most food plot crops high in protein to promote antler growth? (question, not a statement)

and a bird nonetheless...i noticed it's a baby, as the parents were bombarding that buck pretty heavily....but he didn't care. lol

As long as we're talking about unusual animal behavior, I think that this proves that dolphins are smarter than dogs.

That's what I was thinking. I read this article about Elk doing the same thing a few years ago.
