Yesss!!!!

My crappy work day came to a HUGE conclusion with a bang!!!!

Young lady was out practicing for her road test, that's apparently tomorrow, didn't see me and proceeded into the intersection. 1.5 seconds later vehicles came together. Hit her on passenger side, luckily she had side airbags and her glass didn't shatter (her mother would have most likely suffered injuries). Thankfully no one was injured.

Think its totaled?

That sucks. I doubt it totalled though, unless there's some hidden frame damage.

Glad everyone walked away, as far as the truck i would bet it is totaled. Being a 01 model theres a good chance of it happening.

Wow... Glad no one was hurt in that one!

As far as totaled goes, it will depend on if the repairs cost more then the truck is worth..

I rear ended a car with my F150 a long time ago and did very little damage to my truck and it cost over $2,000 to repair it... I didn't even have to have any fenders or the hood replaced.. Just the bumper and the grill and one head light assembly.. Oh, one of the front tow hooks got ripped out of the frame and they had to massage that to get a new tow hook bolted on.

You've got a lot of body damage there and if there is any frame damage, that'll run it up there..

I saw a "TRUCKS" show not too long ago where they bought a 'totalled' 1500 Chevy pickup from around 1999 vintage or so and all that happened to it was it slid into a snow bank on the passneger side and bent up the door and the extended door a little bit.. Nothing else physically damaged on it...

While you gotta nice truck there, obviously with some aftermarket pieces on it and all, it'll also depend on if the insurance co takes that into consideration too??

I know if my truck were damaged like that, I'm sure it would be considered a 'total'.... That would **** me off too, because I would not be able to get an equal truck for the amount of money it is 'technically' worth....

Good luck with it all!

Mitch

Well other than what is obvious, the frame is visibly bent on both sides, pass. door won't open more than 3", driver door only opens about half way, and the pass fender is wedged pretty good into the door.

Part of me hopes that this is fixable so I can keep my truck, but the other part of me hopes it isn't so I don't have to deal with the quirks of a car that has been smacked pretty hard.

I should find out if it is totaled tomorrow or the next day.

its totaled, my truck front clip was hit all the way around plus one door and it was totaled pretty quickly, without counting my STX valence, or any of my Ford OEM takeoff lights

glad you walked away, feeling sore yet? Make sure you go to the doctor to get everything checked out if you start feeling sore, their insurance will pick up the medical bills, just be sure to get a receipt.
